This outfit started with the shoes. I’m always on the lookout for comfortable, good-quality flats, and I immediately loved the look of these Everlane loafers when I saw a picture of them on Instagram. The deep burgundy is such a great color, and the simple style is so chic. After browsing the products on Everlane’s website and reading about the company, which takes a “radical transparency” approach to its business by showing customers the cost to make the products and the markup, I knew this was a company to watch.
I bought these loafers a few months ago, and I’ve been so happy with them. They’re really comfortable, and the quality is excellent. Oh, and Everlane’s customer service is great too. A few weeks after I received my order, someone from customer service sent me an e-mail asking me what I thought of my loafers. I don’t think a company has ever followed up with me about an online purchase. I replied to the e-mail with a question or two about the company and got a response the following day. How nice is that?
I’ve worn these loafers several times with jeans, but I thought they’d look great with khakis, so I snatched up this army green pair at Gap last month. A loose, comfy oatmeal sweater keeps everything casual and laid back.
