Holiday Travel

Hello, everyone!

The holiday season is upon us! For so many of us, that means traveling to see family. Whether you’re traveling by plane, train, or automobile, I do think the key to traveling is being comfortable. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t be chic too. When I saw this maxi dress, I knew it would be a great travel dress. The neutral color makes it easy to coordinate with pretty much whatever you want to throw on with it, and because it’s a maxi dress (a.k.a. a blanket disguised as clothing), it’s great for chilly planes.

I also want to talk about this great weekender bag. I’ve traveled enough to know to never EVER have black luggage because so many other bags and suitcases are black. It can be frustrating when you arrive at an airport, don’t see your luggage, and discover that another passenger has mistaken your suitcase for hers. “Excuse me, ma’am, I think you have my luggage” is not a pleasant way to begin a conversation with a complete stranger. Aca-awkward!

I had red luggage for a while, but then it seemed like red was the new black, and I saw red bags everywhere. Sigh! What to do??!?!?? I was looking for a new small bag last year and stumbled upon Kate Spade Saturday’s Weekender Bag. You can design your own! So fun, right? You have two size options (this one is the larger of the two), and you get to pick the fabric colors for the body and handle, base, front and back pockets, and straps. You can even monogram it if you want to. Having a customized bag guarantees that your luggage will stick out amid the sea of black luggage at any airport.
