I’m departing a bit from my regular fashion-related posts to do something on home style. Handsome Hubby and I moved into a new apartment last August, and our new place has less storage in the kitchen than our last place. The result is that we have a pile of kitchen stuff in our dining room that has nowhere to go. I’ve been on the hunt for several months for a buffet or sideboard where we can store this extra stuff, but I haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for. (Well, I’ve actually found several options that I love, but they’re all ridiculously expensive, so … the hunt continues.)
As I’ve been searching, I’ve been drawn to mid-century and mid-century modern pieces. I love the clean lines and the vintage/retro feel that they have. The mid-century pieces from West Elm are my favorite, and I would replace every piece of furniture we own with the West Elm pieces if I could afford it. Alas, I can’t, so I’m still searching for something that’s just right for our space and that doesn’t break the bank. Here are some of the pieces I’m loving right now.
