This post is late for this week. Eeeeek! I started teaching Pure Barre a few weeks ago and am trying to adjust to having a teaching schedule in addition to my full-time job. I’ll do my best to stick to blogging, but my posting schedule might not be regular over the next few weeks.
It’s been chillier the past few days, so I’m pulling out all my sweaters. I bought this sweater vest several months ago and am glad that I’m finally able to wear it. It’s such a cute and easy topper to throw on to add an extra layer and pattern. I decided to wear it as part of a casual outfit here, but I think it would work great paired with skinny pants to wear to work. I might also trying belting it to see how that looks.

It was a crazy weekend, so I’m a bit behind on my blog posts. The next few weeks are going to be busy too, but I’ll try to stick to my regular blog schedule as much as I am able.
It officially feels like fall here, which means fewer skirts and dresses for this Southern gal and trying to transition spring and summer pieces into the fall and winter. I’m a fan of an all-white outfit, but it can feel a bit springy depending on the clothes and fabrics. I decided to go with basic white skinny jeans and my favorite Everlane t-shirt as a base for this outfit, topped it with a cargo jacket, and threw on some ankle boots. The result is a comfy, casual outfit that works great for early fall.

I think this plaid dress is so cute, but my husband calls it my “tablecloth dress,” which makes me think that he probably doesn’t like it that much. (Is calling something a “tablecloth” ever really a compliment? Not so much.) Despite how he feels about it, I like the color and pattern, and it’s a comfy go-to dress during the summer months, but I wanted to see if I could transition it into the fall. Top it with a denim jacket, and you’re ready for cooler weather. Wearing boots instead of sandals would be a great look too!
What do you think? How do you transition summer items into the cooler months?
