I know I’ve been missing some posts recently. I’m still trying to find balance with my full-time job and my Pure Barre teaching schedule. For the next few weeks, at least through the holidays, I’m going to post only twice a week instead of my regular three times. I’ll do one outfit post and one series post. After the new year, I hope to return to three posts a week. Fingers crossed!
I’ve featured jogger pants on the blog before (here and here), but they’ve been casual and cozy. These silky jogger pants caught my eye at LOFT several weeks ago. I love the red/rust color, and the style and fabric are the perfect balance of chic but not overly dressy. I went with a neutral shoe and sweater, but added a colorful scarf for some more color and pattern.

It’s no surprise that I love scarves, especially during the winter. I found this tartan plaid one at Target a few months ago and wear it all the time. I remember seeing belted scarves when I was glancing through pictures of Burberry’s Fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection and thought I’d give it a try. I think it totally works and helps give some shape to an otherwise shapeless item. In an effort to do some more pattern mixing, I decided to wear it with this striped shirt, another item that is in heavy rotation in my wardrobe.
